CenterSpan Communications (Nasdaq:CSCC) and Intel Architecture Labs today signed a license agreement that gives CenterSpan exclusive worldwide rights to develop, use and sub-license Intel(R) Launch & Connect, a core technology of Socket, CenterSpan's new group activity hub software.

Socket combines Launch & Connect with real-time text and voice communication capabilities, forming a powerful group activity hub that enables collaboration, content sharing and multi-player gaming. With Socket, CenterSpan addresses two of the fastest growing Internet segments, multi-player gaming and instant messaging, in a way that existing instant messaging products can't match.
