CenterSpan Expands Socket Capabilities and Lays Groudwork for Increased Game Compatibility.

Socket 1.1 Upgrade Includes New Infrastructure to Allow Future

Capabilities for Gamers, Improved User Interface, and Microsoft

) released Socket(TM) 1.1 on Aug. 25, an upgrade to its peer-to-peer group activity hub that was showcased at the Intel Developer Forum Intel Developer Forum (IDF), is a twice yearly gathering of technologists to discuss Intel products and products based around Intel products. The first IDF was in 1997. There is usually a Spring IDF and a Fall IDF.  on Aug. 24.

This upgrade will allow CenterSpan to increase the number and types of games Major categories:

 compatible with Socket through future auto-updates.
