CenterBeam CTO Elected to Board of Internet Governing Body; Ricart to Serve as Treasurer of Internet Society.

CenterBeam's chief technology officer and co-founder, Dr. Glenn Ricart, has been elected to the board of directors of the Internet Society (Internet Society, Reston, VA, www.isoc.org) An international membership organization dedicated to extending and enhancing the Internet, founded in 1992. It supports Internet bodies such as the IETF and works with governments, organizations and the general public to promote Internet  and will serve as treasurer on the board's executive committee. The Internet Society is the most important governing body of the Internet, responsible for setting all of the Internet's engineering standards and active in setting the agenda for Internet policy.
