Center for American Progress report examines teacher compensation.


A new report from the Center for American Progress The Center for American Progress is a progressive American political policy research and advocacy organization. Its website describes it as "...a nonpartisan research and educational institute dedicated to promoting a strong, just and free America that ensures opportunity for all. , "Teacher Compensation in Charter and Private Schools," examines teacher compensation policies for lessons to help public schools more effectively recruit RECRUIT. A newly made soldier.  and keep high-quality teachers.

The report includes surveys of charter and private schools and interviews with leading charter and private school networks for answers to questions that are animating an·i·mate  
tr.v. an·i·mat·ed, an·i·mat·ing, an·i·mates
1. To give life to; fill with life.

2. To impart interest or zest to; enliven:
 the debate over teacher pay in public schools.

One of the report's findings is that charter and private schools make greater use of non-financial rewards than do district schools to recruit the best teachers.
