Center expansion.

Construction is under way for a $121.6 million expansion of the Pasadena Convention Center that will nearly double its size to 111,000 sq. feet. The project, scheduled for completion in 2009, includes the addition of 28,000 square feet of exhibition space and a new 25,000-square-foot ballroom. The existing Civic Auditorium ballroom also will be restored. The Pasadena City Council approved the project in July. Clark Construction Group, based in Bethesda, Md. is handling construction.
