Center For Nonprofit Management Announces New Webinar Series for Nonprofit Board Governance.


DALLAS Dallas, city (1990 pop. 1,006,877), seat of Dallas co., N Tex., on the Trinity River near the junction of its three forks; inc. 1871. The second largest Texas city, after Houston, and the eighth largest U.S.  -- The Center for Nonprofit A corporation or an association that conducts business for the benefit of the general public without shareholders and without a profit motive.

Nonprofits are also called not-for-profit corporations. Nonprofit corporations are created according to state law.
 Management will present two webinars focusing on nonprofit board governance Governance makes decisions that define expectations, grant power, or verify performance. It consists either of a separate process or of a specific part of management or leadership processes. Sometimes people set up a government to administer these processes and systems.  issues in September September: see month.  and November.

The webinars are part of the Center's successful Board Leader program, an initiative to help nonprofit board leaders achieve "top of mind" awareness of best practices in nonprofit governance.

The first session, Essentials in Nonprofit Governance - Current Legal Issues from the Experts, sponsored and co-presented by Jones Day, will take place on Wednesday, September 7. Participants will hear from a panel of board governance experts led by Jones Day Partner, Pat Villareal. Audio and Power Point presentations from the session will be available on the Center's website on September 8.

The second webinar Essentials in Nonprofit Governance: Financial Issues from the Experts, will occur on November 8.

The first webinar will be held on Wednesday, September 7, at the Center for Community Cooperation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The fee to attend this session is $25 for CNM CNM Certified Nurse-Midwife; see nurse-midwife.
