Centennial Technologies announces $1.0 million order for it's PCMCIA PC Cards.

, CTNW) announced today that it has received an order of approximately $1,000,000 for it's PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, San Jose, CA, www.pcmcia.org) An international standards body and trade association that was founded in 1989 to establish a standard for connecting peripherals to portable computers. PCMCIA created the PC Card. See PC Card.  PC Cards.

The order was placed by a major international supplier of hand held industrial computer equipment. This computer equipment is used in route accounting, meter reading, data logging (data) data logging - (data acquisition) Storing a series of measurements over time, usually from a sensor that converts a physical quantity such as temperature, pressure, relative humidity, light, resistance, current, power, speed, vibration into a voltage that is then converted  operations, order entry and merchandising. Delivery of these cards is scheduled to be completed over the next 24 months.

Jack McDonald, Centennial Technologies' vice president of sales, commented: "This order is in line with our strategy of being the one-stop source for our various OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers, and demonstrates the success of our marketing plan to expand our presence in the industrial PC Card applications areas. We expect this customer to place additional orders for other types of Centennial's PCMCIA PC Cards in the near future."

Centennial Technologies Inc. designs, manufactures and sells an extensive line of PCMCIA cards used in portable computers and industrial applications, as well as font cartridges used in laser printers.
