Centennial Technologies Names Two Senior Executive Officers.

WILMINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1997--Centennial Technologies, Inc. (Ticker:CENL) today announced the appointments of Richard N. Stathes as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Dr. Jacques Assour as Senior Vice President of Operations, effective immediately. Centennial's recently named Chief Executive Officer, L. Michael Hone, acted quickly to fill the two key positions at the Company. Both Stathes and Assour worked with Hone at PSC Inc., where Hone was responsible for that company's growth from $8 million in revenues in 1988 to an annual rate of over $200 million by the end of 1996.

Stathes, Centennial's new Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has extensive electronics industry experience in senior sales and marketing management, and was the Vice President of Sales for PSC Inc. from 1992 to 1997. Stathes also served as an area marketing manager and a district sales manager during his ten years with Hewlett Packard in Syracuse, New York. Stathes, a veteran of the United States Air Force, is a native of New Hartford, New York, and is married with two adult daughters.

Dr. Assour, Centennial's new Senior Vice President of Operations, has been a consultant since he left a similar position at PSC in 1995. Dr. Assour's expertise is in the electronic, communication and automated data collection industries, with emphasis on management of engineering, manufacturing, product planning, marketing and sales. Dr. Assour holds a Ph.D. in Electrophysics from the New York Polytechnic Institute, and is currently a resident of Melville, New York. On Friday, John J. McDonald, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Thomas J. MacCormack, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, announced they were leaving the Company to pursue other career and professional interests.
