Centennial Technologies, Inc. receives an order valued at $16,800,000 from Philips Home Services, Inc.


BILLERICA, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 1996--CENTENNIAL TECHNOLOGIES, INC inc - /ink/ increment, i.e. increase by one. Especially used by assembly programmers, as many assembly languages have an "inc" mnemonic.

) announced today that it received a $16,800,000 order from PHILIPS HOME SERVICES, INC. (the screen telephony and interactive services unit of PHILIPS ELECTRONICS) to supply PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, San Jose, CA, www.pcmcia.org) An international standards body and trade association that was founded in 1989 to establish a standard for connecting peripherals to portable computers. PCMCIA created the PC Card. See PC Card.  memory cards to be used in certain PHILIPS telecommunication products. The PCMCIA cards to be supplied contain proprietary designs and technology for which CENTENNIAL has filed a patent application. Delivery of these cards is anticipated to be completed over the next twenty-four months.
