Centennial Cellular announces year-end and fourth quarter results.

Silvermine Guild Arts Center is located there. , Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 22, 1995--Centennial Cellular announced results of the year and quarter ending May 31, 1995 today.

Revenue from cellular telephone services for the year was $82,651,000 up $27,360,000 or 50% over the $55,291,000 in the year ended May 31, 1994.

Revenue from interest income for the year ended May 31, 1995 was $2,768,000 as compared to $1,082,000 for the year ended May 31, 1994.

As a result, total revenue for the year ended May 31, 1995 was $85,419,000 up $29,046,000 or 52% over the $56,373,000 in the year ended May 31, 1994.

Revenue from interest income for the quarter ended May 31, 1995 was $776,000 as compared to $340,000 in the quarter ended May 31, 1994.

Operating income before depreciation and amortization for the quarter ended May 31, 1995 was $12,018,000, an increase of $4,299,000 or 56% over the $7,719,000 for the quarter ended May 31, 1994. Interest expense for the three months ended May 31, 1995 was $6,410,000 as compared to $5,615,000 for the year ended May 31, 1994.

The net loss for the quarter ended May 31, 1994 was $5,928,000, or ($.35) per share as compared to a three month loss of $8,254,000 or ($.89) per share at May 31, 1994.

Centennial Cellular ended the fiscal year 1995 with approximately 170,000 subscribers, including its proportional proportional
