Cenetec Expands Team as Five New Directors Join Technology Accelerator.

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 2001

Cenetec, the technology accelerator company, this week announced five new directors, expanding its senior professional team in the areas of technology, finance, legal and marketing.

Jeffrey D. Rubenstein, Cenetec chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president.
, said, "Our professional team's depth is key to our ability to accelerate emerging technology companies to market. Leadership experience with technology-focused companies equips each of our new directors to play an important role in that process, as well as in Cenetec's own expansion." He said the new appointments bring Cenetec's staff to 40 employees since its founding in January 2000.

The latest additions to the company's management team at its Miami and Boca Raton technology accelerators include:

Orin Levey - Director of Technology, Boca - Levey brings extensive experience in software architecture and systems integration. Most recently, he was with ABT Corporation where he was a principal consultant and team leader for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. Evolving out of the manufacturing industry, ERP implies the use of packaged software rather than proprietary software written by or for one customer.  Integration projects serving clients including Motorola, Visa, UPS and Bell South. At ICN ICN International Council of Nurses. , Ltd., he was responsible for establishing an Internet division for the touchtone informational delivery company. As senior consultant for Logica, Levey was technical lead, managing systems integration projects for companies such as Time Warner, Racal Datacom and PSE&G. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of South Florida

Bruce R. Lonic, Jr. - Director of Finance, Boca - Lonic joins Cenetec from Ocwen Technology Xchange, Inc., where he was senior manager of finance and accounting/controller for the mortgage industry software development firm. He has extensive experience in technology-related analyses and accounting including creating budget models, forecast data and product profitablilty standards. Previously he was assistant vice president at Salomon Brothers, Inc., responsible for operations management of Salomon Forex Forex

James Clavijo, Director of Finance, Miami - Clavijo most recently was chief financial officer of AW Industries-Telecommunications, equipment manufacturer, and previously of USA Companies, insurance marketer. As financial consultant for PDP /Strata, he was responsible for telecommunications and manufacturing reengineering consulting. He also served as finance manager for The Wackenhut Corporation. Clavijo, a Florida licensed CPA, holds a master's degree from Florida International University Florida International University, primarily at University Park, Miami; coeducational; chartered 1965, opened 1972. A research university, it has 18 colleges and schools and many specialized centers and institutes, including those in biomedical engineering, database .

Michelle Lebowitz - Director of Marketing, Boca - Lebowitz joins Cenetec with nearly ten years of marketing management experience in the high technology field. Most recently, she was corporate marketing and communications manager at eBusiness software provider Daleen Technologies, where she developed integrated marketing strategies that successfully established market position in North America, Latin America and Europe. As corporate marketing manager for Sensormatic Electronics, she served on the global marketing and advertising council, contributing to the development of marketing strategies for Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America.
