Celtic star denies car speed rap; COURTS.

AIDEN McGeady Aiden McGeady (born April 4,1986 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a professional football player for Celtic and represents the Republic of Ireland in international football. McGeady can play in a variety of attacking positions.  yesterday denied driving at almost double the speed limit in the southside of Glasgow.

Winger McGeady, 23, from Glasgow, who is also a Republic of Ireland international, pleaded not guilty by letter to driving at 54mph in a 30mph zone.

It is alleged the winger, who has 26 international caps, committed the offence on February 15, this year in Carmunnock Road, Glasgow.

The former Scottish players' player of the year, is believed to be in Dublin with his Republic of Ireland teammates for a friendly with Australia on Wednesday.
