The 20-year-old supporter was knifed on Wednesday evening while he and fellow fans were near a bus stop on Whitehall. They were all wearing Celtic shirts as they made their way to watch Wednesday night's Champions League play-off against Arsenal. But police sources said the attack was not believed to be football-related. The victim, in his twenties and who has not been named, is in a "stable condition" in hospital and detectives are preparing to interview him. An office worker on the street said: "I couldn't make out what led to the incident but it was all happening close to a bus shelter.
