RUGBY LEAGUE: Celtic Crusaders The Celtic Crusaders are a rugby league club based in Bridgend, Wales, United Kingdom. They joined National League Two in 2006, and were promoted to National League One at the end of the 2007 season.  are set to confirm their move to Newport in the coming days.

The Super League newcomers intend to leave their current Brewery Field Brewery Field is a 12,000 capacity, multi-use stadium in Bridgend, Wales. It is the home ground of the rugby league side Celtic Crusaders over the summer and the Welsh Premier Division rugby union team Bridgend Ravens throughout the winter.  base in Bridgend to groundshare with Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade next season.

The Crusaders have long-term plans for a new stadium in Bridgend but recognise the need to move now.

The club were one of five last week warned by the Rugby Football League their Super League place is in jeopardy if plans for a new ground do not advance.

Chief executive Mike Turner said: "Hopefully within the next 10 days we'll have a contract signed and we'll be moving to Newport."
