Celsian Technologies, Inc. Announces the Momentum G-800 Series; Achieve Data Rates of up to 22.76Mbps and Extend Ethernet Services in Excess of 28,000 Feet over Ordinary Copper Wires.

TUSTIN, Calif. -- Celsian Technologies, Inc., a USA based supplier of telecom equipment that extends the reach of Local Area Networks, announced today the availability of the Momentum G-800 Series IP Network Extension Solution.

The Momentum G-800 allows two local area networks to be connected with greater reach and throughput than traditional solutions. IT managers can now get up to 22.76Mbps symmetrical connections between campus buildings.

The Celsian Momentum G-800 Series LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  Extension models are Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line See DSL.

(communications, protocol) Digital Subscriber Line - (DSL, or Digital Subscriber Loop, xDSL - see below) A family of digital telecommunications protocols designed to allow high speed data communication over the existing copper telephone lines between end-users and
bridges and routers that are configured for LAN extension applications. Using dry copper telephone wires, two LANs can be connected at speeds of up to 22.76Mbps. The G-800 Series is an ideal network extension solution for campus buildings, schools grounds, hospital buildings and a small business with multiple suites.

Using the G-800, ISPs can offer high-bandwidth, leased line services to business subscribers over bonded copper pairs without additional investment in the network, making this a fast and easy solution to deploy. Other applications where the G-800 can be deployed include DSLAM (DSL Access Multiplexor) A central office (CO) device for ADSL service that intermixes voice traffic and DSL traffic onto a customer's DSL line. It also separates incoming phone and data signals and directs them onto the appropriate carrier's network. See DSL.  backhaul, Cell Site backhaul, extension of WiFi and WiMAX networks reach.

Special Features

--Pre-configured for CO and CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) Communications equipment that resides on the customer's premises.

CPE - Customer Premises Equipment
. One unit is in Central Office (CO) mode, ready to connect to the other unit in Customer Premises Equipment See CPE.  mode (CPE). Just connect them and you are ready to use them

--Rate adaptive technology allows the two units to automatically negotiate the highest rate possible for the distance and line conditions set

--Fixed data rates can be set for strict control of traffic

--Advanced monitoring of the link and cell statistics

--Telnet, Browser and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) A widely used network monitoring and control protocol. Data are passed from SNMP agents, which are hardware and/or software processes reporting activity in each network device (hub, router, bridge, etc.  v1 and v2c management configuration options
