Cellular roaming for $.50 a minute in the Southwest; AT&T Wireless Services offers customers the lowest roaming rates in the Southwest.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 1996--Tomorrow AT&T Wireless Services introduces the lowest cellular roaming charges in the Southwest, saving customers in some markets up to 50 percent on roaming charges.

Named "AT&T Advantage Roam," the largest reduced-rate roaming program carries a 50-cent-a-minute fee for AT&T Wireless Services customers in the Southwest who roam outside their home coverage area where A-Side (non-wireline) cellular coverage is available.

AT&T Advantage Roam covers the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Northern Louisiana in the greater Shreveport-Monroe area, and southern Missouri in the greater Springfield-Carthage-Joplin area are also included. AT&T Advantage Roam is offered on most rate plans, typically all but month-to-month and security-type plans.

"AT&T Advantage Roam simplifies the roaming process in the Southwest and provides customers the lowest roaming rates with the largest reduced roaming-rate area."

For partial state coverage, AT&T Advantage Roam is offered in the following Louisiana parishes: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Jackson, Lincoln, Morehouse, Ouachita, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, Vernon, Webster, West Carroll, East Carroll, Richland, Madison, Franklin and Tensas.

In Missouri, AT&T Advantage Roam is offered in the following counties: Barry, Barton, Christian, Dade, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Ozark, Stone and Taney. -0-
