The San Francisco Bay Area, colloquially known as the Bay Area or The Bay today announced that it is adding a new service to provide customers with greater savings and convenience -- its own cellular long distance service. As of tomorrow, customers can have the convenience of receiving all of their cellular charges, local air time and long distance on one bill from Cellular One. Additionally, customers can also save money as Cellular One's long distance rates will be 10 percent lower than AT&T's standard cellular long distance rates. "Customers have been telling us that they want Cellular One to provide both their local and long distance cellular service. Thanks to the changes brought about this year by the Telecommunications Reform Act, Cellular One can now provide what customers want," said Rich Weiss, product marketing manager for Cellular One. "In addition to the potential cost savings and the convenience of receiving all of their charges on one bill, customers can also have all of their billing questions answered through one Customer Care center. Existing customers can select the new long distance service by contacting Cellular One's Customer Care department or sending in a response card that is being mailed to them.
