Cellular One Joins Hurricane Relief Efforts; Launches Text Giving Campaign.


OKLAHOMA CITY Oklahoma City (1990 pop. 444,719), state capital, and seat of Oklahoma co., central Okla., on the North Canadian River; inc. 1890. The state's largest city, it is an important livestock market, a wholesale, distribution, industrial, and financial center, and a farm  -- Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems today announced it is joining an unprecedented wireless industry campaign to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Wireless carriers across the country - including Cellular One - are joining forces to launch 2HELP -- a campaign that allows users to donate $5 to the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  directly from their wireless telephone.
