Cellular One Group announces future direction of Cellular One brand.


DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 1, 1996--Cellular One Group, the management arm of the nation's number one brand of cellular service, announced today that it intends to broaden the Cellular One(R) brand beyond cellular service into areas such as paging, messaging, and local and long distance service, as well as expand its service coverage by licensing Cellular One to B-band carriers, PCS (1) (Personal Communications Services) Refers to wireless services that emerged after the U.S. government auctioned commercial licenses in 1994 and 1995.
