New Cell Sites Give Area, Including Downtown, Better Coverage

ESCANABA Escanaba (ĕskənä`bə), city (1990 pop. 13,659), seat of Delta co., W Upper Peninsula, N Mich., on Little Bay de Noc; settled 1852, inc. 1883. , Mich. -- Wireless customers in downtown Escanaba and along busy area highways are already getting better coverage thanks to a pair of new cell sites recently turned on by Cellular One.

A new cell site, which provides better access, fewer dropped calls Dropped call is the common term for a wireless mobile phone call that is terminated unexpectedly as a result of technical reasons. Areas where users experience a large number of dropped calls are commonly referred to as dead zones.  and an overall enhanced wireless experience, is providing additional capacity in downtown Escanaba and along U.S. 2 and M-35.

The second new cell site provides new coverage north of the city and along U.S. 2 and Danforth Road.
