Cellular One's State-of-the-Art Network Helps Law Enforcement Capture Most Wanted Fugitive; Multi-Million Dollar Investment Gave Officials a Strong Wireless Signal.


WARREN, Pa. -- As law enforcement officials cornered a dangerous fugitive last weekend, they turned to Cellular One's state-of-the-art wireless network for emergency communication.

Cellular One provided 20 wireless telephones to the New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of

The police used the phones September 8th as they zeroed in on Ralph "Bucky" Phillips Ralph James "Bucky" Phillips (born June 19, 1962) is a convicted murderer from upstate New York caught on September 8, 2006 by the Pennsylvania State Police.[1] He was wanted for the shooting of three New York State troopers, one of whom died from his wounds.  - listed on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted Most Wanted may refer to:

Law enforcement officials requested the use of Cellular One's service after it was determined the company's cutting-edge GSM/GPRS/EDGE network was the only wireless service that would work near the police command post.

In the last three years, Cellular One has invested more than $3.5 million to strengthen its area network. In just the last year, the company has built New York cell sites in Jamestown, Greenhurst and Ripley, and in Pennsylvania new cell sites are in Warren, Rogerstown and Sugar Grove Sugar Grove can refer to:
