:BEC) announced today that they have entered into a long-term strategic relationship to offer Cellomics' High Content Screening technologies to Automated Drug Discovery customers. The agreement provides for:

-- Co-marketing of Cellomics' ArrayScan(R) II instrument and

application software, HitKit(TM) Reagents and certain

-- A distribution arrangement in which Beckman Coulter is to

become exclusive distributor of the ArrayScan II and

and Cellomics(R) Screen informatics products and as the sales

agent for HitKit products

-- Formation of global Cell Technology Centers of Excellence

within academic and non-profit research institutions to advance

cell-based discovery technologies

-- Technology collaboration in mutual fields of interest.
