The module communicates on radio frequencies and at signal strengths consistent with other CellNet-network compatible endpoints. Similar to CellNet's electric meter communications modules, the new gas communication modules provide accurate daily and hourly consumption data and enable enhanced services including: on-request meter reads; remote turn-on/turn-off services; consolidated billing for multiple gas accounts; flexible, customer-selected billing dates; and gas theft and meter tampering prevention. CellNet's rugged and durable gas communications modules are designed for optimal performance in temperature extremes ranging from -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C and in relative humidity relative humidity n.
