Cell Computing, Inc., pioneer and manufacturer of System-On-Module (SOM) components, including the Plug-N-Run(TM) and RazorBlade(TM) products for the embedded computing markets, today announced that it will change its name to PFU Systems, Inc. The new name, which becomes official on April 1, 2002, will help consolidate the Company's corporate brand with that of its parent, PFU Limited of Japan, a $1.9B joint venture of Matsushita (Panasonic) and Fujitsu, the second and third largest electronic companies in the world, respectively. PFU Systems will also use the tag line "a Fujitsu company," indicating its affiliation with Fujitsu Limited, and whose subsidiaries include PFU Limited, Amdahl Corporation, ICL Plc, Fujitsu Siemens GmbH and other industry leading firms.

PFU Systems will continue to focus on growing its SOM business while leveraging its core processing modules to expand into the turnkey system business. This will enable the Company to provide greater value to its OEM customers for whom time-to-revenue is essential to success.

Worldwide revenues for PFU from its applied computing business are expected to reach US$80M in 2002 and US$150M in 2003.

With PFU Limited firmly established in the RAID, server, server appliance, and industrial and office automation markets, PFU Systems will bring this market-specific product design and development expertise to its OEM customer base in North America and Europe. PFU Limited will continue to benefit from PFU Systems' experience working with industry leading OEM customers in North America and Europe in the SAN, Test & Measurement, Medical, Military/Aerospace, and Data/Telecommunications markets. Further, while economic growth remains slow in Japan, the off-shore investments made in PFU Systems will allow PFU Limited, and the Fujitsu group as a whole, to continue to capitalize on healthier, stronger growth abroad.
