Celine Dion to Donate $1,000,000 to Hurricane Katrina Relief.


LAS VEGAS Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  -- Celine Dion has pledged $1,000,000 to the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  to help the relief and recovery efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Ms. Dion and her partners, Concerts West/AEG Live and DRAGONE, will donate proceeds from their Las Vegas show "A New Day..." to help the people in need as a result of the tragedy.
