NY Traditional Cambodian dance gets a contemporary twist when dancers and musicians from The Royal University of Fine Arts, Phnom Penh Phnom Penh (nŏm pĕn, pənŏm`) or Phnum Penh (pənm`), city (1994 est. pop. , perform at The Joyce April 20-24. The evening opens with an ancient dance drama, The God of Thunder and the Goddess of Lightning, followed by Seasons of Migration, a contemporary work that uses traditional royal court technique.
