) announced today that it has entered into a new employment contract with Kenneth D. Van Meter Van Meter may refer to:

, its current President, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and Chairman of the Board. The term of the contract is for three years, with provisions for extension upon mutual agreement. Mr. Van Meter's previous contract had expired in January 2000. Mr. Van Meter joined Celerity as President and CEO in January 1997, and was named Chairman of the Board of Directors at its next meeting in March 1997.

Celerity Systems is a provider of advanced digital set top boxes and video servers for interactive television and high-speed Internet. Target markets include condominiums and other hospitality properties, schools, energy companies, multihousing, and telcos. Celerity can also provide end-to-end systems through strategic relationships with leading technology companies. Celerity also provides content for entertainment and education applications.
