Celebrity MR. POTATO HEAD Auction Gains Momentum for Children's Charity; Tony Danza and Steven Spielberg take the lead in MR. POTATO HEAD Bidding War.

PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Tony Danza has surpassed Steven Spielberg with only five days left to bid on celebrity-autographed MR. POTATO HEAD toys. The auction, organized by PLAYSKOOL, has raised more than $3,500 to benefit the National Center for Boundless Playgrounds(R). The most recent bid on Danza's autographed, look-alike MR. POTATO HEAD has already reached $435. Others, such as Steven Spielberg, Johnny Damon, the late Pat Morita and Paul Newman trail close behind. The collection will be listed on eBay through December 10th to raise funds and awareness about the importance of play for all children, with and without disabilities.

PLAYSKOOL is donating $250,000 through 2006 to support Boundless Playgrounds' efforts to help more communities build universally accessible playgrounds.
