Outpouring of Community Support for Yahoo! Answers Yahoo! Answers is a community-driven website launched by Yahoo! on December 13, 2005 that allows users to ask questions of other users and answer other users' questions. The site gives members the chance to earn points as a way to encourage participation and is based on Naver's  and UNICEF's "Up Close 2007" Campaign, Give us Your Thoughts and Opinions Today!

Answers community.

"We all need to work together to help the world's children survive," said UNICEF Ambassador Clay Aiken. "Online communities such as Yahoo! Answers give us a powerful forum to talk about the challenges UNICEF faces and discuss new solutions for saving kids' lives."

On January 31st, Alyssa Milano Alyssa Jayne Milano (born December 191972) is an American actress and singer. She is perhaps best known for her roles as Samantha Micelli in the sitcom Who's the Boss? and Phoebe Halliwell on the supernatural series Charmed.  asked: "What can we do to make the world's children a priority in '07?" There are almost 4,000 responses to date with ideas including educating parents, empowering women and providing children with vaccinations, food, shelter and education.

February 1st featured Danny Glover who polled the Answers community for advice on "How can we work together to reduce child mortality around the world?" Danny's question has drawn thoughtful responses providing answers ranging from a focus on prenatal care prenatal care,

February 5th featured Laurence Fishburne Laurence John Fishburne III[1] (born July 30 1961) is an American Academy Award-nominated, Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor of screen and stage, as well as playwright, director, and producer.  who kicked off the second week of "Up Close 2007" by challenging the Answers community with "10.5 million children under 5 will die this year--why aren't more people talking about this?" Laurence's question has received many responses, such as people ignoring the overwhelming problem because there's no easy solution.
