Funded by ExxonMobil and administered by the Volunteer Center of Dallas County, the ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program continues to promote the importance of the work done within the nonprofit sector to a new generation of leaders by providing them with internship opportunities at a variety of nonprofit organizations. A talented college intern will work with each selected nonprofit agency for eight weeks to assist with the heavy workload and traditionally low staffing associated with the busy summer months. In turn, the students participate in a paid internship created to challenge, inspire and help develop skills necessary for their future careers. ExxonMobil provided grants totaling more than $182,000 for interns' salaries and Volunteer Center expenses.
