It was Morpeth historian Roland Bibby who began the process of publishing Amble-born Thomas Moody's hand-written 700-page illustrated manuscript manuscript, a handwritten work as distinguished from printing. The oldest manuscripts, those found in Egyptian tombs, were written on papyrus; the earliest dates from c.3500 B.C.  of The Mid-Northumbrian Dialect, a dictionary and reference book of local dialect and life in the early 20th Century.

After several years in preparation, with Roland's daughter Kim Bibby-Wilson having taken up the challenge to continue the task, the book will be released at the event.

Further details of the event are available by ringing (01670) 513308.
