This fall we also celebrate other things that matter at the Ringling Museum. In addition to our outstanding collection of Old Master paintings in the Museum of Art's permanent collection, we will offer the special exhibition, Time and Transformation in 17th-Century Dutch Art Dutch art, the art of the region that is now the Netherlands. As a distinct national style, this art dates from about the turn of the 17th cent., when the country emerged as a political entity and developed a clearly independent culture. , presenting stunning paintings, prints and drawings by the Dutch Masters. As construction and installation of our new buildings continue, we are preparing for an extraordinary year of celebrations and transformations, beginning this January when the Tibbals Learning Center will open with its magnificent circus model and a dazzling exhibition on the history of the American circus from its ancient origins, through its golden era of the Ringling Bros BROS Brothers

Our Visitors Pavilion, with its new restaurant and Museum Store, will simultaneously open to the public, although the building's dedication will wait until April, with the dedication of the beautifully restored Historic Asolo Theater. By next Autumn, we will begin moving into the new Education Building with its classrooms, art library, and expanded conservation laboratory. Our season of celebration and transformation will not end until January of 2007, when the new Art Galleries will open with two marvelous exhibitions.

You will surely enjoy each of our two wonderful exhibitions this autumn, and by all means, plan to join us as we open the spectacular new attractions soon to come.

Sincerely,
