Celebrating nurses.

Health Minister Tony Ryall will give the main address at NZNO's national office celebration of International Nurses' Day next month, expanding on the theme of "Nurses leading care innovations"

The afternoon on May 11 will also feature two Wellington nurses who run nurse-led innovative services. Hutt Valley District Health Board clinical nurse manager, Betty Poot, will discuss the work of the board's respiratory clinic, while Kieran Monaghan from Newtown Union Health Service will talk about her work dealing with patients with mental health issues. The nurses will describe how they keep patients healthier and out of hospital. For further information, contact professional nursing adviser Anne Brinkman on anneb@nzno.org.nz.
