Net earnings for the quarter were $353,000 and for the nine months were $1,178,000, the latter representing a 27 percent increase over the similar period of 2000. The major factor for this excellent performance was the strong 25 percent year-to-year growth in the loan portfolio. With deposits increasing by 23 percent over the prior year, the bank ended the quarter with total footings of $139,307,000.
