WHAT: Celebrate 2000 is an interactive section on Tom Noel's

"About Denver," the latest feature on the City and County

Web site, DenverGov.

WHEN: Online submissions are being accepted and posted now

through January 28, 2000.

WHERE: Visit www.denvergov.org and click on the "About Denver"

button.

WHY: Celebrate 2000 lets Denver residents and visitors

ring in the New Year while remembering the old and

contemplating the new in an interactive e-time

capsule format. Site visitors are asked to input

their fondest Denver memories or predict the city's

future for 2010 via e-mail.

Visitors to the Web site can also view what others have

submitted. Dr. Thomas J. Noel, local and renowned author

of Denver history, worked extensively with City and

County staff to ensure "About Denver" was accurate and

interesting.

DenverGov provides unprecedented communication,

access and service to City and County government

agencies for residents, businesses and visitors. The

Thomas J. Noel is former chair of the Denver Landmark Preservation Commission and current National Register reviewer for Colorado. Dr. Noel is a professor of history at the University of Colorado at Denver
