Celanese Corporation Announces Stockholder Share Offering.


DALLAS -- Celanese Corporation (NYSE NYSE

: CE) announced today that it was informed that certain of its stockholders had commenced an offering of 5,000,000 shares of its class A common stock. As a part of the offering, the selling stockholders have granted to the underwriter an over-allotment option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares of class A common stock. All of the remaining shares of class A common stock held by the selling stockholders after this offering will be subject to a 60-day "lock-up" period. The Company will not receive any of the proceeds from the offering. Credit Suisse First Boston Credit Suisse First Boston was originally the trading name of the Financière Crédit Suisse-First Boston, a London-based 50-50 investment banking joint venture formed in 1978 between the First Boston Corporation and Credit Suisse.  is acting as the sole book-running manager and the sole underwriter for this offering.
