Celanese Chemicals and Clarkston Team to Create Wireless Sales Force.

Celanese Chemicals, a business of Celanese AG (NYSE: CZ) and a leader in the chemical industry, will become one of the first businesses to access information in its SAP system via wireless technology, with the assistance of Clarkston, a high technology and e-Business consulting firm.

Clarkston developed the wireless solution to provide Celanese Chemicals' North American sales force with dynamic customer information. The sales division is one of the first to access an enterprise system using wireless devices.

The new innovative solution combines GadgetSpace, HAHT Commerce, SAP R/3, and the Internet with mobile phones and personal data assistant (PDA) technologies. The new solution will greatly improve the efficiency of Celanese Chemicals' sales force providing them with immediate access to data which previously may have taken up to four hours to retrieve. With the ability to access real-time information on customer order status, history, and tracking via wireless technology, the sales team expects to significantly improve customer service.
