Celadon to Ring NASDAQ Opening Bell on Friday.


INDIANAPOLIS -- Celadon Group Inc. (NASDAQ:CLDN) today announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steve Russell will ring The NASDAQ Stock Market opening bell on Friday, January 30 at 9:30 a.m. ET at NASDAQ's MarketSite in Times Square in New York City.

"We are honored and thrilled to celebrate our 15th year as a public company and 24th year in business by ringing the NASDAQ opening bell," said Russell. "With truckload and logistics operations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, supported by our 4,000 employees, we believe Celadon is well-positioned for future growth."

Over the past 15 years, Celadon's accomplishments include:

* Approval by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as the first truckload carrier for its C-TPAT and ACE border security programs,

* Multiple 1st Place National Fleet Safety Awards from the American Trucking Associations,

* A 2008 Excellence Award from the U.S. EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership,

* Approval by the American Chemistry Council as a 'Responsible Care' partner carrier,

* Designation by the American Heart Association as a 'Fit-Friendly Company,'

* Designation as one of the 20 'Best Companies to Work for in Indiana.'

Russell will be joined by members of Celadon's executive team, including Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer Paul Will, and Board Directors Michael Miller and Cathy Langham.
