SOUL MACHINE is the second solo album from the multi-talented, singer/rapper, songwriter, producer and Atlanta native Cee-Lo. He is a founding member the seminal hip-hop group Goodie MOb Goodie Mob, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is widely considered one of the founding hip hop acts of the Dirty South movement. Members Cee-Lo (Thomas Callaway), Khujo Goodie (Willie Knighton, Jr. , and part of the Atlanta musical collective Dungeon Family The Dungeon Family is a hip hop/R&B/soul musical collective, based in Atlanta, Georgia and specializing in Southern hip hop with heavy funk and soul influences. The group derives its name from "The Dungeon", the name given to record producer Rico Wade's basement studio where many . The new album is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections, which Time Magazine raved, "No album in recent memory-Yankee or Dixie-has taken so much joy in simply making music." The album released in April 2002, scored a Grammy nomination for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the single "Gettin' Grown."

"I'll Be Around," is the first single and video, produced by and featuring Timbaland. In addition to Timbaland, SOUL MACHINE finds Cee-Lo working with an impressive list of guest artists, production teams and writers. Topping the list are two tracks co-written and produced by the Neptunes and featuring Pharrell: the lyrically sparkling "Art of Noise" and the beautifully sung Let's Stay Together."
