NEW YORK -- Cedric Kushner Promotions, Inc. ("CKP") (PK:CKPI), in association with Warriors Boxing Promotions, Inc., announced today that it is promoting "Heavyweight Heat" on August 26, 2005 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida on Showtime Pay-Per-View. The main event pits former Linear Heavyweight Champion Shannon Briggs (42-4-1 36KOs) against former WBO Champion Ray Mercer (34-5-1 25KOs). Also featured on the card will be David Tua (43-3-1 38KOs) in his first fight stateside in the past two and half years and Jameel McCline (31-5-3 19KOs), in separate bouts.
