(NASDAQ:MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, today announced that Cedar Point Communications, a leader in packet-based voice switching technologies for the cable telecommunications industry, has chosen Mindspeed as a vendor of voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) processors. Cedar Point Communications will be using Mindspeed's Comcerto(TM) Series in its SAFARI C3 Multimedia Switching System designed for cable networks.
