Marc Lalonde obtained a Master of Laws degree from the Université de Montréal, a Master's degree from Oxford University, and a Diplôme d'études supérieures en droit , C.P., O.C., C.R. and Reynald Lemieux, R.I.A., B.Com. to Cedar's board of directors. His distinguished political career included such appointments as Minister of Health and Welfare, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women and Minister Responsible for Federal Provincial Relations. In 1978 he was appointed Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada The Attorney General of Canada (French: Procureur général du Canada) is the top prosecuting officer in Canada. The role is part of the cabinet post of the Minister of Justice. , and in 1980 served as Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources. In the period 1982-1984, Lalonde served as Canada's Finance Minister and in 1989 received from the Governor General of Canada Reynald Lemieux has owned and managed a prominent real estate and land development business in Quebec for over 40 years. With the success and recognition provided by his business, Lemieux has been invited to sit on the board of several corporations. He is currently the president and majority shareholder of Placements R.N.S. Inc., a firm which manages and operates his holdings. Lemieux is a member of the Audit Committee of the board of directors.
