CeBIT 2005: H+H Software Reissues an Improved Classic.

GOETTINGEN, Germany -- CeBIT 2005: H+H Software reissues an improved classic. For the first time Virtual CD v7 burns and converts all ISO-compatible images. Prices have been lowered in comparison to the previous version. Also new: Network Management Server v7. Cost efficient packages consisting of Virtual CD and NMS v7 are available.

Just in time for CeBIT 2005 H+H Software GmbH presents its bestseller Virtual CD in the version 7. The most famous CD/DVD-emulator copies DVDs, audio- and data-CDs with efficient data compression onto the hard disk of PCs or Servers. On the Windows workstation Virtual CD installs virtual CD/DVD-drives that work exactly like physical drives. In the Version 7 H+H integrates a number of new and improved functions. So for the first time virtual CDs can be burnt onto an optical media (CD-R(W), DVD-R(W), DVD+R(W), DVD-RAM). This makes both data backups as well as portability a lot easier. A further brand new function of the Version 7 is the unlimited support of ISO-compatible images. These cannot only be used and burned. Virtual CD even offers an image-converter in order to convert ISO-compatible images in an ISO- or Virtual CD-format. The conversion of ISO- and Virtual CD images functions in both directions. Thus H+H guarantees an optimal compatibility and flexibility in dealing with image files.

For copying CDs and DVDs you no longer need an external burning program when using Virtual CD v7. In the newest version the program makes 1:1 copies in a few simple steps. Thereby, of course, no copy protection systems are illegally circumvented.

H+H has not only improved the functionality of Virtual CD. Also the handling is more convenient. The Explorer integration and the catalogue functions have been significantly improved. Access to virtual drives is now possible from the task bar much quicker than before. In addition there is an optimized online-update-check, so that important updates can be conveniently and quickly found.

Network Management Server v7

Concurrently with Virtual CD v7 H+H Software GmbH is launching the version 7 of Network Management Server (NMS). Especially the buildup and the management of complex Virtual CD network structures makes the Network Management Server significantly easier for the administrator. This saves the company considerable time and money! In a clearly structured user interface NMS displays all connected stations on the Virtual CD network. The administrator determines which client will have how many drives available. Also he can assign access rights, manage sharing and blocking and creates groups and profiles to simplify management. Even inserting and ejecting Virtual CD images on particular clients is possible using the Network Management Server.

The NMS version 7 can be completely integrated in the existing Virtual CD networks. Of course, H+H has adapted the functions of NMS for the brand new Virtual CD version 7. Thus the administration not only profits from the top performance of NMS but also from the availability of all new functions of Virtual CD v7 ad hoc in the entire network.

If a very large number of virtual CDs and DVDs are to be made available in a network, the compliance to the corresponding license agreements quickly becomes a dangerous game of chance, possibly big with consequences. Also here the Network Management Server provides a remedy. The integrated license management makes sure that the images available in the network are only used according the limitations set by the license agreements. Thus the NMS contributes to the legal security in your company.

Price and availability

Virtual CD v7 and NMS v7 are immediately available. The price for single user version of Virtual CD v7 has been reduced to 39,95 Euro, the Update costs only 19,95 Euro. A five client license costs 89,95 Euro (for private use) and 139,50 Euro (for commercial use), and a 100 client-license package costs 1099 Euro.

The price of the Network Management Server has not increased in spite of numerable enhancements. It is still 499 Euro. Educational institutions pay only 295 Euro. For just 99 Euro you can acquire an update of Version 6.

H+H has bundled Virtual CD v7 and NMS version 7 into a package for customers who have not implemented Virtual CD up until now. Here, for instance, a 100er-License for Virtual CD v7 incl. NMS costs only 1299 Euro.
