Cayman Systems And Interspeed, Inc. Announce Product Interoperability Agreement; Gives Service Providers A Powerful And Turnkey End-to-End SDSL Solution.

STONEHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 20, 1998--Cayman Systems, the Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) customer premise equipment (CPE) provider of choice and Interspeed, Inc., a developer of carrier-class DSL system solutions for high-speed data access, today announced a product interoperability agreement. The agreement gives service providers a powerful, turnkey end-to-end SDSL solution for their clients. Under the terms of the agreement the two companies will ensure interoperability between Interspeed's new generation of System 1000 and System 500 carrier-class DSL platforms and Cayman Systems' Cayman SDSL1400 router/modem. Both will be on display at Interspeed's booth (# 3697) at Networld+Interop in Las Vegas where representatives from Cayman and Interspeed will be available for briefings.

By using the most up-to-date technology available, Interspeed's and Cayman System's devices will communicate at symmetric speeds - up to 1.168Mbps over a single copper pair line. This provides an immediate and cost effective solution for the rapidly growing number of businesses requiring more reliable and faster remote access to the Internet and their own Intranets.
