Cayman's Broadband Gateway Products Now Include PPPoE, Allowing

Service Providers to Authenticate and Deploy Broadband Services

Independent of Client Software and Hardware Platforms Each hardware platform, or CPU family, has a unique machine language. All software presented to the computer for execution must be in the binary coded machine language of that CPU. Following is a list of the major hardware platforms in existence today. See platform.

Cayman Systems Inc., a pioneer in providing intelligent gateway solutions for secure, multi-user access to broadband services, today announced the integration of Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (communications, protocol) Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet - (PPPoE) The protocol defined in RFC 2516 that allows one or more computers to connect to the Internet via a shared modem.  (PPPoE) on Cayman's intelligent broadband gateway products for small offices and residences. Service providers benefit by being able to automatically authenticate and deploy broadband services using PPPoE, independent of the client's operating system operating system (OS)
