Caxton Names Feuerman to Top Equity Investing Position.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1998--Caxton Corp., an investment management firm, has appointed Kurt A. Feuerman as head of its U.S. equity investing operations.

Feuerman comes to his position at Caxton from Morgan Stanley To comply with Wikipedia's , the introduction of this article needs a complete rewrite.  Asset Management Inc., where from 1993 until the present he has served as Managing Director/Head of Active U.S. Equity Group. He joined Morgan Stanley & Co in 1990, after six years at Drexel Burnham Lambert Drexel Burnham Lambert was a major Wall Street investment banking firm, which first rose to prominence and then was driven into bankruptcy in the 1980s by its involvement in illegal activities in the junk bond market, driven by Drexel employee Michael Milken.  where he was Managing Director/Research Department.

Among Feuerman's responsibilities at Morgan Stanley was management of two top-ranked equity mutual funds, the Aggressive Equity Fund and the Equity Growth Fund. Both funds received 5-star Morningstar ratings and achieved returns from inception in the top 2% of all U.S. equity funds. Aggressive Equity was ranked No. 1 by Lipper Analytical among 1,330 growth funds for the period from March, 1995 (inception) to March, 1998.

Feuerman, who received his BA from McGill University McGill University, at Montreal, Que., Canada; coeducational; chartered 1821, opened 1829. It was named for James McGill, who left a bequest to establish it. Its real development dates from 1855 when John W. Dawson became principal. , received an MA from Syracuse University Syracuse University, main campus at Syracuse, N.Y.; coeducational; chartered 1870, opened 1871. Syracuse is noted for its research programs in government and industry; facilities include the Center for Science and Technology, the Newhouse Communications Center, and  and Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University. In 1998 he was named "the best fund manager" in a survey by Barron's Magazine.
