Cawrley edits new reference book on obesity findings.

John Cawley, professor of policy analysis and management, is the editor of the newly released volume, The Oxford Handbook of the Social Science of 'Obesity, a critical reference for obesity researchers, public health officials, policymakers, nutritionists, and medical practitioners seeking to better understand the causes and consequences of obesity, and to learn what works to prevent or reduce obesity. The 912-page book summarizes the findings and insights of obesity-related research from the full range of social sciences including anthropology, economics, government, psychology, and sociology. Cawley, an expert in the economics of obesity, is co-director of the College of Human Ecology's Institute on Health Economics, Health Behaviors, and Disparities.
