Cattle sheds in residential areas creating problems.


ISLAMABAD, July 11, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- Buffalo sheds right at the heart of some residential areas in federal capital rural are causing immense problems for the citizens. A number of commercial buffalo sheds in different areas i.e Sohan, Bara Kaho, Ghuri Town near Khanna Bridge are creating nuisance to the residents of these areas. There are a lot of cattle sheds functioning in these residential areas for the last several years, but so far no action has been taken by the concerned authorities in this regard, said Sageer Hussain Shah, a resident of Sohan. He said the situation should have been controlled, but instead the number of sheds has increased manifold in recent past. Another resident of the area said there were around two dozens buffalo sheds in Sohan where hundreds of buffalos have been kept. At times it also becomes impossible to walk along the road as herds of buffalos create hindrance hin·drance

We fail to understand as how the presence of these sheds can be ignored at the heart of residential areas, asked another resident. Many other residents of these areas have also demanded shifting of cattle sheds and buffalo dung heaps out of the residential limits. They said that proper land at some outer city areas should be provided to those who keep buffalos for commercial purposes, while action should be taken against those keeping the animals in residential areas.
