Cats bury their mess; YourSay.REGARDING people like Alan Parkes who complained about cats (letters, July 23) and how they soiled his garden, well all I can say is because of ignorance like this about the species many felines have such a bad reputation. Firstly, cats always cover up their mess. Secondly, they don't always kill wildlife. Most of them don't need to when they're fed regularly. Cats make wonderful pets who can be affectionate and comical com·i·cal adj. 1. Provoking mirth or amusement; funny. 2. Of or relating to comedy. com . As for their faeces causing blindness in youngsters - well, how can that be when cats bury their own? In this day and age we have many things to endure, yet people like Alan Parkes choose to complain about mundane issues. And yes, cats will roam from time to time because they are natural free spirits. You cannot keep cats in; they've a right to protect their territory just like a dog. So I say to Alan Parkes, get a life and complain about the real issues in life, which are too numerous to mention. Maybe in the next life he may return as a cat himself. God forbid! It is the next 'village' south from Moseley on the Alcester Road. The central shopping area runs along the High Street and Alcester Road, and the shops include branches of national chain stores, (letters, July 29), moaning about cats, cats are cleaner than some humans and they learn from birth to bury their waste; also they are excellent parents, better than some humans. P Robinson, walk around Birmingham and see the mess left not by cats but by humans. Go through any town centre early in the morning and see all the food left over and thrown away by humans and all they have not eaten; this is the reason why the city is overrun 1. overrun - A frequent consequence of data arriving faster than it can be consumed, especially in serial line communications. For example, at 9600 baud there is almost exactly one character per millisecond, so if a silo can hold only two characters and the machine takes by rats. It's only the council workers who do an excellent job clearing the mess before the rush hour starts.
