Catriona's out to make a splash in Belgrade; Tees Active GRASSROOTS SPORT.SHE may only be 14 years old, but Catriona Bruce is already making waves in the Borough of Stockton Swim Scheme. Catriona, a member of Tees Active Sports Academy, is training hard. As most youngsters her age will be considering how to occupy themselves during the summer holidays, she will be making her international debut competing for Great Britain Great Britain, officially United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, constitutional monarchy (2005 est. pop. 60,441,000), 94,226 sq mi (244,044 sq km), on the British Isles, off W Europe. The country is often referred to simply as Britain. in the European Junior swimming Championships in Belgrade. This talented teenager, who trains up to 22 hours per week, has been swimming competitively for six years. When asked about her likes and dislikes in swimming Catriona said: "I get a real buzz when I have performed well in the pool and either won a race or achieved a personal best.
